New Site Features are Live! + Pillowfort Pub Episode 1

Hello People! The time has finally come! The new things I have been hinting at for the past year (and posted about a few days ago with the price increase announcement) is here!

I can’t even begin to tell you how good it feels guys. It’s like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally breathe and I am so happy. Thank you ALL for sticking around with me on this journey, without my subscribers I never would have been able to get this far in my career.

As a preface, the new price has been put into affect, so anyone who joined before today will only have to pay $9.99 forever until you cancel your sub!

So welcome to the “new” site, and furthermore, welcome to the first ever episode of the new podcast PillowFort Pub! Here is where Flux and I (and guests) discuss new site features, personal stories, answer Q&A’s, and more!
For this first episode, we lay out in detail a bit more of what this new site is, what’s on it, how it works, etc. Take a listen and enjoy!

Without further Adieu, here’s PillowFort Pub Episode One!

I think it’s great that you’re banding together and that we can get access to more sites for (roughly) the same subscription… but AF mentioned that there will be no revenue sharing between you. Isn’t that a bit fragile? It would mean that the artist with the biggest fanbase would eat the biggest part of the pie, while still generating (potentially) the same amount of traffic/data use for everyone else.
If you’re starting out as fairly equal partners with equal traffic that’s fine, but if you were to consider adding less known artists to the network, wouldn’t that scare them off? They could end up with all the traffic and no money at all.
Just curious about your thoughts 🙂

You’d be surprised at how seldom people actually take advantage of being able to visit more than one website. With my s(somewhat) decent knowledge on networks like this, it’s a small percentage of people actually browsing around the network. In the beginning it will probably be a lot of people bopping around looking at everything, but most people choose what they like and are just like “meh” to the rest. It’s mostly people who don’t comment/communicate who are that way, though. We do share a little bit of the same fanbase and that’s kinda where it gets annoying, but we don’t share many so I’m not super worried about it. Things will even out in time, but at the beginning yea it might be a little fragile. 🙂 You’ll be happy to know Flux’s site is already kicking ass though! I’m not too worried.

When it comes to new people though, yea we will have to keep that in mind. It depends on the artist entirely, so it’s a case by case situation. Thanks a lot for asking and being interested! I’m supa excited.

      Cheers!

Alright cool 🙂 Yeah I wasn’t really worried about you and AF… or the unannounced artist (clearly Shad :p). It was more of a pondering on future artists since it seems like you’re interested in growing the network.
